This month’s special guest is Sony Award Winning Songwriter From County Durham, Jez Lowe.
Jez has been a frequent guest at the club over the years as well as appearing at The Brindley on many occasions with the Pitmen Poets. This gig is just the man himself, and Jez shows no sign of slowing down. Not only he is one of the busiest live performers in the country, but his songs are among the most widely sung by other performers, whether by long-established acts like Fairport Convention, The Dubliners and Bob Fox, or by the new breed of stars like The Unthanks, The Young Uns, Megson and The Duhks.
Jez brings lots of humour in his sets, along with poignant songs of everyday people and places. A great story teller and performer and it’s a pleasure to have him at our club.
