Hi all. As from Monday 17th November there will now be an entrance fee of £2 on singers nights and £7 on guest nights. Due to increased costs to the Folk Club, we think this is a reasonable price to pay for an excellent venue provided at Runcorn Golf Club and to maintain the high standard of guests appearing at our club. Hoping for your continued support.
And welcome to our newest resident, Caroline Mckay. ( More on OUR RESIDENTS page.) Tony: Club Organiser.![]()

GUEST NIGHT MONDAY 1ST DECEMBER
8-00PM ADMISSION £7
In December Keith Donnelly and Lauren South offer Donnelly and South's Christmas Cracker - a Christmas show with some crazy bits, a sackfull of their singalong, wintry-wonderful songs. The best Christmas-Duo-Show this side of Morecambe & Bublé! A stocking-load of Keith’s hilarious seasonal anecdotes and jokes. The gift of a couple of scary solstice ghost stories. Pour on lashings of Lauren’s, silky-smooth, brandy-butter vocals. All wrapped up with fantastic festive guitars and yummy Yuletide fiddles.
Very sad news of the passing of Christine Hanslip who passed away peacefully at home on Monday 23rd July.
Christine along with her husband Roger was a founder member of the Prospect/ Runcorn folk club. A lovely singer and guitarist she often accompanied many club singers with her guitar playing and mainly as a duo with long-time friend Carol Coxon producing beautiful harmonies together. A talented musician also on piano or accordion and very funny writer of some great monologues. One of the loveliest ladies you could ever meet, always with a smile and nothing phased her. She will be sadly missed by lots of people that have had the pleasure of knowing her and there will be a very big hole left on the folk scene that she has graced with her presence for so many years. Tony & Anne Toy.
